of Solstice. We are an Amtgard Chapter located in College Park, Maryland.
We normally meet every Saturday just south of the University of Maryland

What is Amtgard? (from AmtgardInc.com)
"Amtgard is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that is dedicated
to the recreation of the Sword and Sorcery genre as well as aspects of both
Medieval and Ancient cultures. Amtgard focuses largely on a
Medieval-based combat system but also encompasses the arts and sciences of
the time, in a friendly, social atmosphere.
Amtgard uses safe, foam-padded replicas of Medieval weaponry. Anyone aged
fourteen years or older may compete in the martial aspect of the game but we
welcome members of all ages. There's a place for everyone."
Anyone interested in joining us should
contact Don or Lisa. They can help answer
questions for new members about our schedule and directions as well as rules
of the game. New members need to sign a waiver (link ). If you don't have the
facilities to print one off, we can provide one for you at the park.
